How to care for your candles
Care for the wick
A candle is only as good its wick. This wooden piece that holds the flame should measure about 1/4 to 1/8 inch high in order to produce an ideal burn, which is why trimming the wick is important. Snipping the tip ahead of every lighting to ensures a cleaner burn
signs that your candle has expired
The telltale sign of an expired candle is the loss of scent, If your candle begins to smell more like wax than the intended fragrance, it is probably time to discard it
re-using your containers
The easiest way to remove candle wax from glass to place it in the freezer. Remember candle wax shrinks when it cools… So place your glass candle container in the freezer for several hours. Even overnight is OK. When you take it out of the freezer the wax usually pops right out with the help of a butter knife to loosen it. Then clean the container with soap and water.
